ブラジル・サンパウロ生まれ、日本育ち。幼少期に祖母から棒編みとかぎ編みの基礎を学ぶ。プラスサイズでも着られる服を作るため、独学でニットウェアのデザインを開始する。
現在は、ポルトガル式のガーター編みやシンプルな長編みで構成されたニットデザインを行いながら、手紡ぎ糸などを取り扱うオンラインストア「p to m」を運営。

Maysa was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and raised in Japan. She learned the basics of knitting and crochet from her grandmother at an early age. Motivated by the desire to create clothing that fits her plus-size body, she began designing knitwear.
Today, she creates knitwear patterns mainly featuring Portuguese-style garter stitch and simple double crochet, while also running "p to m," an online store offering handspun yarn and more.
